If you are injured or become ill abroad you might need a private air ambulance, or commercial medical repatriation. With 50 years' experience, we are experts at providing private and commercial European and international repatriation and evacuation services.

Formally CEGA Group, Charles Taylor Assistance manage 21 languages in-house, and our team of multilingual private repatriation specialists will organise everything from road transfers to international air ambulances, at any time of the day or night, wherever you are in the world. We are experienced in implementing the most appropriate and cost-effective evacuation or repatriation transfers by road, air, sea and rail. We contain the costs for you so that they don’t spiral out of control.

Our rapid medical operations response centre can assist in a medical emergency.  Our in-house multilingual advisors speak more than 21 languages and are understanding, sympathetic and equipped with the knowledge to handle any situation that may arise. You will be assigned a dedicated co-ordinator to help you throughout the process and we will organise a doctor/nurse-escorted repatriation, or an air ambulance. 

We have a dedicated network of global accredited air ambulance partners and manage a global network of hospitals, clinics, and doctors. Our medical teams cover all disciplines, including, but not limited to, neonatal, paediatric, surgical, obstetric, mental health and intensive care. Our highly skilled teams of doctors and nurses are all trained in aero-medical care and provide constant support throughout patient repatriations.

We provide all necessary state-of-the-art medical equipment and medicines from our own in-house medical stores. 

Should a colleague, friend, or loved one pass away overseas, we can support you in partnership with our International Funeral Agents and partners. We can repatriate home, or arrange a local burial and service. We will take care of all arrangements, and support you every step of the way.

Our in-house medical team offers a range of services that are tailored to meet the individual needs of patients. They will organise repatriations and medical escorts according to a patient’s specific medical condition and geographical location.

Doctor and nurse support

We are committed to being at the forefront of innovative patient safety and aviation initiatives. Our doctors and nurses have more than 40 years' experience of carrying out complex international air ambulance and medically escorted repatriations.

The teams cover all disciplines, including, but not limited to, neonatal; paediatrics; obstetric; bariatrics; mental health and intensive care. Our commercial medical escort service is EURAMI accredited, demonstrating our commitment to clinical excellence. 

Air ambulance and repatriation

A private air ambulance or escorted repatriation is a complex operation. It enables an ill or injured individual to be transferred to a hospital with suitable facilities or to return to their home country, by air or road; accompanied by a medical escort.

We pride ourselves on our logistical expertise in medical assistance. We provide bed-to-bed patient transfers, no matter how complex the journey.

How do I know what I need?
An assessment will be made by our medical experts. This will determine our recommendation for the type of assistance you will need to get you home. You may need a commercial flight with a nurse, support in a road ambulance or full medical assistance in an air ambulance. We will be with you at every stage and will liaise with the medical team assisting you.

Is it expensive?
The cost of getting you home will depend on the type of assistance you require.

What areas of the world do you cover?
We have a global network of experts to support you anywhere in the world.

Will I be able to fly with my relative/friend/colleague?
This will depend on your condition and how we get you home. We will always endeavour to arrange for you to fly with a relative/friend or colleague and understand how important this is to you and your loved ones.
